Pushed out of their historical strongholds, palaces, and magical towers, those of the Magical and Martial Realms have since secluded themselves in secluded communities and villages. In the interest of preserving their traditional ways of life and continuing their oh so ancient art, these communities soon grew into small schools, eventually planting the seed that would grow into the Academies of the modern day. The Mountbatten Academy, established just before the turn of the 20th century, is the youngest of such Academies. Situated around the fictional Cape Victoria, Nunavut, the Academy provides a haven and place of learning for many of the America's young and talented Martial Disciples. Successful in its own right, spawning many hundreds of Martial Masters, it has gained the attention of other competitors, likely soon to receive the fame it deserves.
