[THE KAMCHATKA INCIDENT] In 1991, after the USSR partially collapsed, releasing Ukraine, the Baltic nations, and the Caucasus. However. It didn't fully collapse, entering into an era of extreme paranoia. Paranoia that'd eventually lead to world nuclear conflict, and the fall of status quo. In 2013, after a group of insurgents wearning US uniforms breached a submarine base in Kamchatka and hijacked an Akula-class nuclear sub, launching all it's missiles at the USSR, unknowing of the events in Kamchatka, the USSR thought it's a launch from the USA, causing a nuclear response from the USSR, towards the USA. Which, using Mutually Assured Destruction, caused death. Billions died. And humanity, in some regions, went underground. Ten years later, in 2023, in the area of Vladivostok, humanity resurfaces, with lower radiation, and combat amongst humans and wildlife, everything is in dissaray. From locally made weapons, to pre-war weapons, anything and everything can be seen in use. The region is a massive smuggling ring, providing weaponry of every and any kind to the people within it. Will you be a bandit? A mercenary? Or maybe a regular loner? Or, perhaps, even a cultist? That's for you to decide. But the question is, will you survive?
