lore: it is the year 2033, twenty years have passed since a deadly fungal-based, brain altering disease spread across the world and caused a global pandemic - affecting over 60% of the worlds population. with society on the verge of collapse, the remnants of the world's governments took drastic steps to protect their remaining populations. In the US, quarantine zones were established where uninfected could reside, though living conditions would be consistently poor due to the shortages of supplies and the perpetual state of martial law. outside the QZ's, the infected roam freely and would continuously taint the environment with deadly spores as the fungus kept growing within their bodies. however, many live outside the QZ's, fending for themselves out in the open amongst all the infected that walk the earth, doing what they can to survive and avoid meeting the same fate as their zombie-like opponents. some have built up communities and brought people together to try and bring back life before the pandemic as much as they can, others choose to live life on the run either alone or with trusted groups. what path will you take?
