*In 1985, the Gathering began when Connor MacLeod vanquished the world's strongest immortal, the Kurgan and thought he obtained the Prize but in reality he merely gained the the strength of every immortal the Kurgan had killed. The Prize is still out there and every immortal is fighting to finally have it in their grasp. However, before they can do so, they first must fight in the endless game across the channels. The primary setting is in a quiet little corner in New York City where immortals chat and fight with exception of being on holy ground.
