New Eras

A heavyset man enters the room. He must be the boss. Leather body armor over a ruffled white dress shirt and a pair of tan trousers detail his body. Untying the leather mask from his face, the man seats himself. Resting a closed fist on the table, he observes the room, acknowledging those on the council before speaking. A debate begins, strategies being shouted out and rejected; the council tearing away at itself. on the other side of the Grand Archipelago, slender figures, clad in orange tunics and veils, stare silently into mirrors; deformed shapes staring them back. A keen eye is necessary to decipher otherworldly visions, and those that can know their meanings, they will share that burden when the time is right. Clouds pall and thunder rolls over troubled seas that toss drifting islands about like grazing beasts. War approaches, war for islanders and inlanders the both of them.
