It's been a solid month since the tear in the sky was closed, since the four turtles managed to banish the Kraang leader back into the Prison Dimension, since them, and NYC, were finally able to start healing. The city's wounds are still fresh, but life has begun to find its rhythm again in both the surface world and Hidden City alike. But something isn't right. Portals are opening up across the city—shimmering tears in reality that no one is controlling, their destinations unknown. Through them step both familiar faces wearing unfamiliar expressions and complete strangers with their own stories to tell. Friends who aren't quite friends, enemies who've never been enemies here, and figures whose very existence raises more questions than answers. As these visitors from different timelines find themselves stranded in this new New York, one question burns in everyone's minds: what force could be powerful enough to break the barriers between worlds?
