Twenty years ago, the world was forever changed by Eren Jaeger, a man wielding the formidable powers of the Founding and Attack Titans. He unleashed the catastrophic event known as the Rumbling. The once-impregnable walls— towering 50 meters high— that had long sheltered the Eldian people crumbled under the Titans' immense force, releasing a horde of colossal creatures upon the world. What was once thought to be a mere legend—a prophecy from Karl Fritz about Titans flattening the outside world—became a devastating reality. Nations, landscapes, and countless lives were obliterated beneath the Titans' colossal feet. The end came only through the valiant efforts of the remaining members of the Scout Regiment and the beleaguered Marleyan warriors. Together, they managed to defeat the Founding Titan, halting the Rumbling before it could obliterate all of humanity. The battle was fierce and costly, leaving 80 percent of the human population decimated. Yet, the downfall of the Titans and the destruction of their power marked a turning point. The desperate fight against the very monster they had unleashed brought a fragile peace between the survivors on the island and the devastated outside world, who had narrowly escaped total annihilation. In the aftermath, the world faced a daunting task: healing from the immense physical damage the Titans had wrought and mending the deep psychological wounds inflicted by centuries of enmity. The journey to recovery was arduous. The people of Paradis Island, now under the rule of the Jaegerists, embarked on a path of militarization. They consolidated their military forces, preparing for any potential retribution from the outside world for the devastation wrought by their former leader. For a time, it seemed as if the world was slowly returning to a semblance of normalcy. However, the shadows of the past loomed large, and the ghosts of old conflicts refused to remain silent.
