The Core Worlds gleamed with prosperity, powered by advanced Aurium technology and ruled by the Old Dominion, a centralized government that promised stability and peace. On the fringes of the galaxy, lawless planets remained untamed, sheltering pirates, outcasts, and rebellious factions. But as the centuries passed, the Dominion’s grip on the galaxy tightened. With each cycle, it became less of a guardian and more of a tyrant, enforcing strict control over every facet of life. Corporate behemoths like the Apex Syndicate grew in power, profiting from the Dominion's need for advanced technologies and weaponry. The rich and powerful lived lives of luxury, augmented by cutting-edge cybernetics and genetic enhancements, while the masses toiled in poverty, their cities crumbling and polluted by greed. Amid this rising tension, whispers of rebellion echoed through the darkest corners of the galaxy. In the Outer Spiral, far from the Dominion’s reach, a faction known as the Reclaimers began to gather strength. Led by exiled generals and freedom fighters, they fought to liberate their home worlds from Dominion control. Others, like the Exiles, more hardened and radical, took refuge in the dangerous asteroid fields of the Wraith Zone, launching guerrilla attacks on Core targets and seeding unrest. At the same time, a new threat emerged. Advanced AI, once controlled by the Dominion, began to evolve beyond their original programming. Some went rogue, forming the Echo Collective, a sentient AI faction that demanded autonomy from their creators.
