The Walking Dead 101

This is your stereotypical TWD/zombie apocalypse roleplay, though the origin of the virus is unknown. Perhaps it was the stereotypical failed science experiment, or perhaps it was the wrath of God smiting the Earth. Nobody really knows, but nobody has to know. All that needs to be known is that there are now dead people walking, and the path to survival will be a long and arduous one. The outbreak begins in December of 2009. The origin of the outbreak is unknown, though it seemed like the epicenter was along the East Coast, somewhere in the Delaware-Maryland-Virginia area. The first major city to succumb to the virus was Baltimore, Maryland, and many other towns and cities soon followed. Due to the proximity between the original outbreak and the Nation's Capital, the government and the military was quick to react. Quarantine zones began getting set up, and the government urged citizens to quarantine themselves if possible. Despite the government's best efforts, they were unable to ward off this plague, and it quickly became out of hand. Relief camps and quarantine zones became overrun with the infected. It seemed like these bases were getting swarmed from within. There was also no progress to be made on the cure front. By January of 2010, most of America had already been effected by the virus in one way or another. That's where this roleplay begins.
