The Hollow World

The Hollow World functions both as a medieval mock government Discord and a modded Minecraft server. Gameplay: The three core aspects of gameplay are civilization building, warfare, and exploration, which are primarily powered by Millenaire and AW2. The Discord fills in the gaps that these aspects of gameplay cannot fulfill, namely politics, economics, and foreign diplomacy. Theme: The Hollow World is at times strangely similar to the World Before that we call home, but other times it reveals the dark truth of its deformed existence. This is an alternative history narrative with elements of dark fantasy that fluctuate in importance to the humans who have been unwillingly scattered into this deformed world since 1100. The current year is around 1114. Modpack: The Hollow World modpack is relatively lightweight with less than 100 mods. 4GB tends to work well, but 2GB or lower isn't advised. The modpack is fine tuned and fairly difficult thanks to mods like FirstAid, NoTreePunching, and SimpleDifficulty (temperature only enabled when in uncharted lands). We have regular updates for balancing, bug fixes, or new additions. Expectations: I run this almost like a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, so expect to participate in collaborative storytelling, do some basic historical research, and maintain active communication with your fellow server members. As Gamemaster, I'm also pretty lax on Minecraft rules. If you make a good case for why I should spawn in something for you, I'll usually grant it. Just try to avoid metagaming and instead immerse yourself. Making a Character: If you'd like to play a particular historical character within the time period, simply run it by me and I'll give you the go once I figure out how to integrate you into the narrative. Original characters are acceptable too. Just don't make Doomguy or Master Chief.
