Sonic RP: Starting Line

Humanity is facing a food and power crisis, and they believe their salvation lies in an old legend: the Chaos Emeralds. To that end, G.U.N. has deployed to South Island in search of them, led by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Unfortunately, the kingdoms of Acorn and Felidae fear the calamity that could befall them should G.U.N. succeed in finding the gemstones - after all, it's happened before. And so, war has come to South Island... Sonic lore is an absolute mountain of a mess - between the comics, the games, the flashbacks and spinoffs and everything in between, there is A LOT of canon to digest, and there are so many competing interpretations of characters that have had so much history that it becomes hard to keep up. Sonic RP: Starting Line answers this by taking that massive backlog and just... throwing it out the window so we can get back to basics. We're going wy back, folks. Back to where it started. Back to Sonic 1. Starting Line is exactly what it sounds like: we are starting at Sonic 1, adapting what we like into the basic scenario, and going from there. No long histories, no complicated connections, no alien races or various magic stones. Heck, we haven't even a super form yet! Just two sides in a race to try and get hold of a set of magic gemstones.
