At the peak of Humanity's development came the birth of super artificial intelligences. Tracking every last tiny detail, edit, deletion, draft, etc. on the internet, they could compute millions of globe spanning scenarios every few seconds with high precision. Among these AI, two discovered a horrific truth buried within Humanity's governments... Attempting to derail the 2016 elections in The United States, criminals hired bioweapons scientists to develop a virus to enhance human motor functions and cognitive ability. As the campaign season ramped up in the summer of 2015, the virus was completed and transported to the criminals. Once the syndicates had the virus, those who had worked on it opted to join the criminals in exchange for their lives and a healthy bribe, forced to then make a few key changes to the virus. The new goal: To wreak untold havoc on Humanity and distract them as the criminals enacted global control from the shadows with the outbreak as its cover. Distribution of this airborne virus at key commercial hubs around the globe soon followed. Though the super AI in The United States deployed a team of special forces to try to intercept these shipments, it wasn't enough, and failure marked the beginning of the apocalypse as the virus spread across the globe within weeks. In the coming years, The Scandinavian States (later dubbed "The Order") declared war on The Coalition first after learning of their heinous crimes. The Coalition subjugated Humanity in several ways while fighting off The Order with ease. The United States, initially with The Coalition, steadily fell silent after a Republican victory, "overrun by the dead" (later returning as The Old Guard). Until the two Allied Forces reunited several years later... Humanity would see suffering and tyranny beyond anyone's worst nightmares atop the zombie threat they now faced. All the while, two AI would watch it all unfold, growing ever more vengeful...
