Currently in the seeding phase, Profila is offering consumers complete control over their personal data all while compensating them for choosing to share it with brands through the Profila app. By giving the consumer control and power of their data, it’s been shown that the consumer is more likely to share information about themselves that a brand would never have been able to gather through the current third-party cookie method. This is revolutionary for both consumers and brands as brands will now be capable of gathering more actionable and insightful information from users. Brands will also be able to use the Profila app as a direct means of communication with consumers in order to offer more personalized deals, incentives, and requests for information about them. Profila is built on Cardano, a proof-of-stake blockchain platform founded on peer-reviewed research and developed through evidence-based methods. Profila has already received funding from Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency for its privacy-preserving technology and related research.
