RESEARCH. DEBATE. MOVIES. GAMES. ACADEMIC STUDY. SERIOUS FUN. THE CONSORTIUM IS A NERDS DREAM!! At the heart of the Consortium are the monthly research competitions. Members are given a topic that is mundane and unassuming, Members then must present their findings on absurd, obscure, or outright nonsensical findings related to the originally mundane starting point. Votes by the society are cast and the winners advance in rank. These competitions are both intellectual duels and performances, blending deep curiosity with theatrical flair. Winning is not just about research quality but also about creativity, wit, and the ability to entertain. The results shape the Consortium’s internal hierarchy, influencing elections and the balance of power within the group. The Consortium thrives on fun, tradition, and absurdity, embracing the strange and the surreal. The society is split into two rival tribes that compete for control. Every few months, the tribes take turns to form a mock government, led by a president and a cabinet of ministers managing different branches. An Elder Council of top-ranking members oversees everything. The proud and strong Hyraxian Dominion represents war, domination, cruelty, and darkness. The joyful and friendly Realm of Quo represents love, fun, peace and light. The spiritual and mysterious Cult of Bura comprises the Elders whom cast off the shackles of their former tribe and devoted their life to the religious aspects of the Consortium, all members of the elder council must enter the cult of Bura every 3 months the tribes take turns running the server. Tribes will amongst themselves figure out who will be the new leader. The process internally can be anything from a democratic election to a dance competition. Once the tribe chooses its leader they will be appointed to the role of Consortium President.
